"Transcendental Meditation changed my life"

Hugh Jackman

"Meditation helped me in every way ...immeasurably"

What is Transcendental Meditation

Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a proven technique practiced twice a day for 20 minutes, sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. TM effectively and quickly reduces stress and tension, develops clarity of mind, and brings profound relaxation to the body. As a result one feels calmer, clearer and more energised in activity. It is not religious and anyone can practise, regardless of age or belief.

What people say...

Meditate regularly!

When asked about the number one thing which has kept her looking so amazing, Jennifer Aniston said:
"I'd say a little over a year ago I started doing TM [Transcendental Meditation] and that's really changed everything.
Starting your day off with that and ending with that is pretty powerful.
Twenty minutes, you just notice the difference! When I get lazy and don't get it in, I can feel a difference in the day.
So I try to meditate first thing when I wake up."

ACCEPTING YOURSELF AS YOU ARE:

Jennifer Aniston says that it's easier to embrace flaws than to fight them.

"I have a scar on my nose and that's beautiful," she says. "The more we love what is natural and beautiful, the easier it is for us as women."

Katy Perry's formula for absolute rest

The 31-year-old singer practices the technique every morning while sitting on her bed with her eyes closed for about 20 minutes to make sure she is relaxed and in a good mood before she starts work.

"I start the day with Transcendental Meditation. It puts me in the best mood. I wake up and just prop myself up in bed for 20 minutes. It's the only time my mind gets absolute rest,"

"It's something that's with you for your whole life," Perry says. And she is keen to emphasize the practical, day-to-day value of practicing TM.

"You learn your mantra, it never leaves you, and it's the deepest rest your brain gets. For people that are so creative and have this kind of creative faucet that never turns off – it just continues and continues – it can be a little exhausting.
